Description

Film shows scenes from Urmston Carnival 1936, marshalled by Mr A Taylor. Civic dignitaries are shown taking part in the festivities alongside characters in fancy dress. Fairground scenes are followed by the parade round Urmston via Flixton Rd. Assorted carnival scenes follow including shots of the procession and crowning of the May Rose Queen, Miss Muriel Smith.
