Description |
Compilation of local newsreel footage - scenes at Workington Horse Show include procession of horse-drawn vehicles through the streets, and events at the race course. A small military procession is seen prior to embarking for active service and there are extended scenes from a football match on a very rainy day. Reel ends with 'Uppies versus Downies' - the annual Workington medieval 'football' match, with participants chasing the ball in and out of the river. |
