Description |
A march in Manchester, approximately 500 strong, on 7th May 1984 during the Miners' Strike. Second part of Bob Litherland's speech at the march rally, followed by series of speeches including a woman from Ledston Luck Family Support Group talking about how families are being victimised. Speaker looks at the international dimension - apartheid, situation in Latin America, European Economic Community (EEC). Representative from NW Trade Union Council (NWTUC) and a Lancashire miner thanks the Yorkshire miners for attending. Then speech from Yorkshire Miners and a number of interviews about media coverage. |
