The adults sit on the banks of the brook with picnic baskets while the children play. There follows scenes of New Brighton with Bob and Sue, we see the family at a fairground, on the beach and having a picnic on the street. There are also scenes from Scarborough. We see views of the sea front, beach, harbour and Scarborough Castle. Children watch a Punch and Judy show, and people ride horses on the beach. We see a performing dolphin show with crowds of spectators, and shots of penguins and chimps. Then there are shots of the family on the beach. We see a river with rowing boats, and crowds of people sat on the banks. There are also model planes and boats. The family play on rocks on the beach, and there are street scenes of Scarborough. We then see the family on a coach, and then scenes from Southport. We see the family on the beach and at a fairground. The film ends with the children posing for a group photograph.
