Description

The film opens on shots of the different murals in Bacup that commemorate the town's 90th anniversary. A procession makes its way through the streets, a brass band, the carnival queen and various floats can be seen taking part. In the next scene we see shots of Stubbylee Hall and surrounding garden. Some men play bowls on the bowling green. The anniversary celebrations continue at the park where speeches are given and prizes are handed out for the best fancy dress. Later, parents and children gather to watch a Punch and Judy show. Some of the men take part in the tug of war. The film ends with a firework display.
