Description

A little girl falls in the mud and cries, so begins the preparations for the very wet and muddy Burnley Fun Day Carnival. We see stalls and floats being decorated on the morning of the carnival. On a very wet day the carnival parade through the centre of Burnley begins with floats, marching bands and children in fancy dress collecting money for charity. Various groups are involved in the parade such as the Boys and Girls Brigade, Cub Scouts and Sea cadets. At the very muddy carnival show ground people help to move cars that have got stuck and despite the conditions attempt to enjoy themselves with various activities such as football, archery and rope slides. The film ends with the Mayor presenting trophies.
