Footage of St. Thomas' Church, Eccleston's second Rose Queen Carnival. Footage of the parade including Morris dancing children, the Sunday school, marching bands and brass bands and floats. Colour footage of the windy crowning ceremony officiated by Mrs Gresford Jones as retiring rose queen Miss May Dingsdale hands over to Miss Joan Bedson. This is followed by the Sunday School Field Day with dancing performances watched by local dignitaries, a May Pole, games, and posing for the camera. Fun and frivolity is had by people of all ages.
