Description

A promotional film for Foden. The film opens with scenes of a Foden lorry arriving at the port of Dover and then driving through London past all of the famous sights. We then see an event where historic Foden vehicles are on display. As we watch these scenes the commentary tells us all about Foden and their history. The film shows the many stages of manufacture of Foden's heavy vehicles at the vehicle assembly plant in Sandbach, Cheshire. We see the designers at work, the casting of components and the computer room. We hear in detail about their high standards of quality control and the thorough road testing of the their vehicles. Potential customers are reassured of their high level of after care and we see scenes from the warehouse where spare parts are sent all over the world quickly and efficiently. The film concludes with a look at Foden heavy vehicles at work in Saudi Arabia and Dubai. We also learn that Foden supply the British Army as an indication of the high quality and reliability of their vehicles.
