Description |
After overhead views of the Metropolitan Vickers site at Trafford Park, the film takes a journey through the complex. It shows the internal roads, the trains running in and out and the access to the Manchester Ship Canal. Footage of the main interior factory floor, where various aspects of the process are featured - the use of cranes to lift and tilt heavy components, for example. The film relates Metro Vicks' activities to their end use: industry, military research and development into radar, and consumer products. |
