Description |
The film opens with winter scenes. We see a man and some children sledging and they build a big snowman. There are then brief shots of donkey rides on the beach, a family out and about in the Lake District, children on a fairground ride and people abseiling. We then see scenes from the Carlisle Silver Jubilee Parade. There are veteran cars, marching bands and brass bands, floats, brownies and girl guides and people in fancy and historical dress. The parade arrives at the carnival field at Carlisle Castle where there is a display of veteran cars followed by a display of men dressed as Roman soldiers riding horse drawn chariots. There is also a display of falconry and a parachute display. There is an air balloon and camels too. There are brief scenes from Caroline's Christening, the family and guests pose for photos. The film ends with more scenes of a family trip to the Lake District. |
