Description |
Film of the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Manchester on 17th July 1934. The Royal motorcade arrives in a crowd-filled Albert Square. The King gives the Manchester Regiments 2nd Battalion a set of silver drums, presented by the City of Manchester. The King delivers a speech before laying the foundation stone for the Town Hall extension and opening the Central Reference Library. |
