Description

The family are seen at the airport, on the plane and in the hotel on a holiday to Tenerife. There are scenes from a Wedgewood Pottery demonstration for the English Speaking Union, and there are experiments with a red filter on the camera lens - featuring a woman, a miniature railway and a rose. Fire engines are seen outside Pauldens Store in Manchester, and there is a detailed demonstration of an Elna sewing machine. The father is seen painting one of the family business' vans (Sew Knit). The family take a holiday to Portugal in 1970, visiting Lisbon and the seaside, watching fisherman making nets. They are seen at home at Christmas, and there are scenes from 500cc car racing at Oulton Park with Stirling Moss. The father has a car accident near London and another accident with a overturned tanker is also seen. Mother "twists' in the bedroom, and vans are seen leaving Sew Knit, the family's business on Back Piccadilly in Manchester.
