Description

Paul Okojie interviews Captain Peel, Chairman of the Norfolk Police Authority since 1974. He talks about his time on the Police Authority and the work of the committee generally to support the Chief Constable and Police Service. He speaks about the impact of political parties on the process which he feels is insignificant on the Police Committee except for a strong law and order stand. He also speaks about the Liaison Committee he started in Norfolk on an experimental basis a year ago as a way to liaise with the general public.
