Description |
A small anti-deportation demonstration and rally in support of Pedro Galleguillos who is under threat of deportation to Chile. The demonstrators walk in front of the BBC on Oxford Road, Manchester. towards Manchester City Centre. Demonstrators featured include Close up of Mohsin Zulfiqar, Gareth Richards, Paul Okojie, Francisca Carrasco and other members of Meli Antu, a Chilean group. They arrive at Albert Square for a rally where Gareth Richards welcomes the Chilean comrades and speaks about Pedro's situation and cultures of resistance. Rosa Hervia speaks about the spirit of struggle and introduces Omar and Doris Maldonado - Chilean musicians and singers - who sing for about 13 minutes. |
