Description

Film showing the various activities undertaken at the Manchester School of Art. Students are seen painting, drawing, etching and sculpting. They are also seen making pottery, doing technical drawings in the School of Architecture, carving in wood and stone, metalworking and designing fabric patterns and costumes. Lecturers are seen presiding over classes and the Principal features greeting new students. Students are seen drawing and painting models and still life assemblies and modelling costumes. Excursions to paint in the countryside and at a zoo are also featured.
