Scenes from the Fylde Coast, Glasson Dock, the Lakes and elsewhere featuring members of the Hodkinson family. At Fleetwood docks, ferries are seen arriving, loading up and departing. A gala day at Cleveleys features a crowning ceremony, a majorette display, a fair and other entertainment. Dorothy and Thomas visit their son's family in Cambridgeshire and there are further family scenes outside their own bungalow, and at Tamworth Castle, the Lakeside and Haverthwaite railway and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Concludes with shots of Glasson Dock near Lancaster and the 'King Orry' ferry waiting to be scrapped.
