Description

Visit of King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret to Lancaster on Tuesday 10th April 1951. The royal party arrive at Castle train station and visit Lancaster Castle. After leaving the castle, they are presented to representatives from the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and the Lancaster Royal Grammar School, amongst others. The royal party visit the town hall, where the King inspects troops, and the film ends with dignitaries and guests leaving the town hall and the crowds drifting away from Dalton Square.
