Description |
Looks at the process of producing curling stones at Kays of Scotland. The film begins with shots of a pile of granite blocks from Ailsa Craig (an island off the coast of Ayrshire). These granite pieces are then shown being rough-turned and shaped into smooth curling stones with the help of lathes and workmen with hand tools. There is footage of the stones being finished and the handles being attached. The film ends with shots of completed curling stones. |
