Description |
Members of the Behrens family attend the wedding of Edgar Behrens and Winifred Luckhurst at Castle Howard on the 12th July 1926. The film begins with the bride-to-be and her page boys and bridesmaid, practicing walking up the castle steps with a long train. Includes various landscape shots of the building and its grounds. On the day of the wedding the guests are seen milling around socialising with one another. Prominent among the guests are Lord Oxford, Asquith and Philip Godlee of Manchester. The page boys, dressed in sailors outfits, try to amuse themselves by leapfroging one another and doing somersaults on the grass. The bride arrives in a car and is seen walking up the steps dressed in her finery. Concludes with various shots of the married couple. A few guests are seen getting into a convertible car and driving off. |
