Description

Record of holidays and days out taken by the Sarson family in the early 1970s. Opens with a fancy dress parade at Six Arches Caravan Park in Scorton near Lancaster, donkey rides at Blackpool and paddling at Alexandra Park in Oldham. The family visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Stanley Park, and swim at the outdoor pool in Morecambe. Brownies attend a Manchester Police Horse display before visiting Pets Corner at Platt Fields in Rusholme. Also includes trips on the Ravenglass and Eskdale / Lakeside and Haverthwaite railways and a view of Princes Street in Edinburgh from the castle. Ends with children on fairground rides at Platt Fields.
