Description

The design, construction and opening of a wall mural for the entrance area at Bickerdike Court flats in Longsight. After opening with shots of cave drawings and ancient Egyptian art, the film looks at the work of architect and sculptor Brian Lee as he works on the mural design at a planning office in Manchester Town Hall. A mould is produced at Lee's home in Macclesfield and the installation of the mural is shown on site. The flats are formally opened, complete with the freshly-painted mural, at a ceremony featuring local councillors and dignitaries.
