Description |
The film opens with a postcard of Powderham Castle, followed by interior shots of furniture, ornaments, a large globe and a sign for 'Summer Ice', an indoor curling game. Avril and Mrs Wintrobe are seen outside in the grounds, patting a tortoise. There are general views of the grounds and surrounding countryside and roads; horses in a field and horse jumps. We then cut to Torquay harbour, Avril and her mum fooling about, general views of the town and seafront; an ancient mariner sitting on a bench by the harbour. Close ups of the Pavillion Theatre (the show is 'Doctor at Sea'), the Prince's Theatre and the Marine Spa: 'Morning lounge - cafe and music', and of souvenir shop windows. |
