Description

The compilation reel with footage of a father pushing his son John in a pram. The family visit Delamere where John watches the ducks. Next they visit Uncle Bob and Auntie Doris in St Helens, where the family spend time together in the garden. The film cuts to black and white where John appears to be slightly younger. We are introduced to the family cat Smokey and her kittens. John can be seen in his pram playing with a toy drum. Outside the house, John waves a Union Jack flag as his mother holds him. Signs and decorations for the coronation celebrations can be seen in the shop windows. In the garden, John and Smokey spend time together in John's playpen. Smokey the cat can be seen wearing a NARPAC (National Air Raid Precautions Animals Committee) disc on her collar.
