Scenes from Yealand Manor School showing the evacuee children going for a walk with staff and parents, playing games in the grounds of the Manor and conducting a science experiment with plants in the garden. Footage includes children and adults walking along from St John's Church to the Yealand Friend Meeting House, school girls playing on a wall and a member of the domestic staff out in the yard dusting down a rug. Continues with Winter shots of Yealand Conyers village covered in heavy snow. Colour scenes show girls and men clearing snow from roadside then having a snow fight, staff and pupils leaving Yealand Manor School for a walk in the surrounding grounds.
