Description

Film about Glossop, made for its twin town of Millau in France. After being told off by a policeman, three schoolchildren are set the task by their teacher of finding out a bit more about the town that they live in. They look at the course of the Glossop Brook through the town, some of the parks and leisure activities available and some of the surrounding towns and countryside. There are scenes of the town's industries - such as paper and brush-making - and the film looks at Glossop's local government. A new mayor is sworn in, and a procession passes through the town to mark the occassion.
