Description

The Wain family's ration books are seen in the hall of their home, and Judith and Kathryn are seen with baby George Peter in the garden. The family go to the opening of Pole Bank Gardens on 26 August 1944, and Judith and Kathryn try different hats on their baby brother. On VE Day, Kathryn, Judith and Peter are seen in the garden with the day's paper and waving Union Jacks. In August 1945, the family go on holiday to St Anne's, where they are seen playing on the beach and at an open-air swimming pool.
