Description |
Scenes from the 1926 Cambridge v Oxford boat race showing Cambridge winning the race. A plane makes a departure flight from Croydon to Paris, with and aerial views of the English Channel and French countryside, then stops at Abbeville to refuel. Footage includes shots of Parisian streets, with the Arc de Triomphe seen from a moving taxi and horse racing on Easter Sunday at the Longchamps race course. Continues with a trip to Grasmere and Easedale valley. Concludes with a brief sequence of holidaymakers on Blackpool beach and scenes showing people walking along the deck of a cruise ship and wishing farewells to friends, as the cruise liner RMS Laconia is seen leaving Liverpool harbour. |
