Description |
Manchester & Salford Universities' officer corps (OTC) begin with a 48 hour training/selection exercise with one day on Holcombe Moor for physical training and problem solving, and the second day in the classroom. We see the student cadets tackle the 'Krypton Factor' assault course as well as problem solving and wading through mud. The cadets are then seen in a classroom and doing adventure training on the climbing wall in the barracks. At the weekend training centres we see the cadets doing war game exercises and shooting practice. Social events such as the Christmas party and the OTC's centenary ball are followed by the 1st year cadets doing tests such as first aid, signals and target location. At the annual camp the cadets do rock climbing, canoeing and ride in a helicopter before marching in their passing out parade. |
