Description

A film about Crusader Mill in Manchester and the people who work there. The film opens with archive film of Manchester city centre and views of cotton mills, and then we see shots of the city centre in the present day. There follow shots of the exterior and interior of Crusader Mill and we learn about the people who work there. We see artists at work in their separate spaces and they talk to the camera about their experience of working in the mill and how things have changed over the years. The artists share the space with a clothes manufacturing company. We see the factory workers at work producing clothes and they talk about their experiences of working in the mill. The film ends with scenes of the modern developments around the mill and both the artists and factory workers talk about their worries about what will happen if the mill is sold for development.
