Description

Documentary looking at the setting up of a community festival in the Old Swan district of Liverpool. Scenes from a community meeting to launch the project are followed by preparations, with women sewing bunting and decorating the streets. During the festival, children take part in various entertainments and there are views of several different street theatre performances. A civil war battle is re-enacted, and the film ends with street parties, races, children singing and dancing into the night.
