Description

A concert at St Peter's Chaplaincy in Manchester, organised by ACHLA (Chilean and Latin American Cultural Association), dedicated to under privileged children of the world. Meli Antu, the Chilean cultural group in exile perform. Eduardo Avalos introduces the group, whose name means Four Suns, and came from the indigenous Mapuchian Indians in South Chile. He explains their background in Chile, the Pinochet coup, their imprisonment and their exile to Britain and formation of the group in 1974. They perform almost to the end of the concert and are then joined by Chilean dancers and finally by people from the audience.
