Description

Preparations for the visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Burnley on March 8th 1945. The front of the Town Hall is decorated with bunting, workers erect a covered stage outside Manchester Road station and a man paints a post. Dignitaries arrive at the station by car, and guests are seated outside as crowds gather in the background.
