Description |
The 1948 Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show held at Prairie Fields in Burnley plus clips from the 1935 show at the same venue. Exhibitors set up stands, scaffolding is secured and show animals are prepared before the event begins. The arrival of local dignitaries is followed by a variety of activities in the main arena including show jumping, best in show competitions and acrobatic displays from the Lancashire County Constabulary. After a prizegiving ceremony there are speeches from the mayors of Blackpool and Burnley inside a show tent before the film concludes with black and white clips from the 1935 event. |
