Description

Documentary about the history of bell ringing at St Bartholomew's church in Colne. Shows bell ringer Bill Heaton walking along into the church, along to the bell tower and talking about the history of bells at St Bartholomew's. Includes shots of the bells ringing in the belfry, Bill Heaton climbing to the roof tops with views of Colne town below and later describes his own bell ringing history at the church. Continues with an interview of bell ringer Jean Barnes, who gives a history of bell ringing techniques and the differences between British and continental bells. Concludes with younger members of church ringing bells and an interview with Tower Captain Kevin Pickup.
