Description

Film about the establishment and activities of the Heywood branch of the Inskip League of Friendship - a social club/support group for disabled people. Includes scenes of disabled people out and about in invalid cars, "shut-ins" being visited at home, a handicrafts session, a trip to the Fylde coast and a re-enactment of their first meeting. The film ends with coverage of the National Coronation Rally in 1953, an event hosted by the Heywood branch of the society.
