Description |
The result of the vote in the 1950 General Election in Burnley. Inside the Town Hall, men (presumably the candidates) stand behind tables that hold ballot papers cast in their favour. The victorious candidate, Wilfrid Burke (Labour), delivers a speech from an outside balcony. The number of votes polled for each candidate are painted on to a large noticeboard before a man signs and hands over a document in an office. The film ends with a series of titles relating to Burnley Co-operative Society. |
