Description |
Members of the Institute of Locomotive Engineers visit the Vulcan foundry in Newton-le-Willows. After arriving at Vulcan Halt station they visit a range of locomotives outside the works before the tour continues inside. The guests take afternoon tea before departing. The remainder of the reel features colour footage of a fire drill at the foundry with firefighters taking hoses up to the roof, and company leisure activities (on the bowling green and scenes from the Junior Sports Days of 1952 and 1953). |
