Description |
An ABC Television film about domestic accidents with children, highlighting the risk of fire and injury at Christmas time. Presented by George Scott in the studio, and Simon Kester on location at Booth Hall Children's Hospital in Manchester. Includes interviews with members of the British Safety Council, the Council for Health Education and MPs, discussing risks in the home, frequency of accidents, and how to prevent them. Parents and children are also interviewed about their accidents, the severity of burns and other injuries, and treatment. Doctors, nurses and surgeons speak of their experiences on the ward. |
