Description

A girl's diving competition is seen on Manchester Schools' Sports Day at an indoor swimming pool at Belle Vue. Scenes from students' Rag Day Parade along Oxford Road circa 1930, followed by a brief glimpse of King George V passing through St Peter's Square in a car, and views taken from a boat of the different ships at Manchester Docks. Stretford Pageant is seen in 1931 and 1932 - in 1932 the theme of the pageant was the Commonwealth, and each float represented a different country. There is a boy's football match at the Manchester Schools' Sports Day, and pupils from Princess Road School in Stretford are seen in the countryside on an outing.
