Description |
Schoolgirls from Grange Park School, St Helens board a bus for their annual summer holiday in the Lake District. The girls take a walk, pick flowers, emerge from Langdale Church and attend an outdoor service at White Craggs, Clappersgate. A walk via Tarn Hows, feeding lambs and paddling in the lake, before arriving at Hawkshead with views of Ann Tyson's Cottage, the Church of St Michael and All Angels and Bend or Bump Cottage. More paddling in Ullswater and a visit to the working slate quarry on Lingmoor Fell. The girls put on a fancy dress parade, laugh as their teachers mess about, and further scenes of paddling, walking and singing. |
