Description |
Film of a journey along the Manchester Ship Canal shot mainly from on board a ship. Opens with a map of the canal before footage of a busy stretch of canal containing a plethora of ships and tugs. The film continues with shots along the canal and includes footage shot as the boat passes through the QE2 bridge at Runcorn, Chester Road Bridge, Knutsford Road Bridge and several locks. There is brief footage taken on the canal bank with barges tethered and people walking. There are also shots of the Barton Road Bridge and aqueduct, more locks and busy docks. The film finishes with footage of a viaduct at Crick. |
