Description

The marches appear to take place in the area around Manchester Cathedral, possibly on different days. We first see the Girls Brigade: girls of all ages marching, some playing instruments. We then switch to the boys marching. The mayor arrives by car and ascends a podium with other officials, to watch the boys pass by. The scene then shifts to Belle Vue; some preparatory work is seen at the stadium before the boys and girls march in. A ceremony then takes place on the podium with the mayor and his wife and other church and brigade dignitaries. The mayor is seen meeting various persons and there are some close up shots.
