Description

This film begins with Kay Phillips in front of the South stand on the day of the test event featuring the first ever football match at the stadium, a match between current FC United against a team of former FC United players. She talks with people before going through the foyer and onto the bar, she then interviews four of the current players on the pitch. After Kay gets the opinions of Guardian journalist David Conn on the fan run club, the fans arrive, all 3200 of them stream into the ground and fill the terraces. James Quinn takes to the microphone and introduces the teams to the fans and then commentates on the match action with the game ending in a 3-2 win to the current United side. After the match James interviews David Brown and Kay talks to Tom Greaves the scorer of the first goal in the new stadium, we also have vox pops with various spectators who give their positive opinions on the new ground and the match.
