Description |
The Gribbon family in Blackpool and their journey to Australia to start a new life. Family members pose for the camera inside and outside a pre-fabricated house and at Stanley Park. Family and friends are seen relaxing at home and at a party, plus shots of work colleagues and a couple outside the house on a motorcycle. The remainder of the reel is of the journey to Australia; driving to Blackpool station and departing by train, leaving Liverpool on the MV Dorsetshire on 28th September 1951, and the sea journey itself. Concludes with the family enjoying beach life in Australia. |
