Description

Bill Brookes is seen walking through the streets of his home town of Darwen, and painting as he describes his early life and how he took up art to document his changing local environment. He carries out household activities whilst his wife Sheila reads in the sitting room. He paints, demonstrating his relief painting technique, and discusses Darwen's first exhibition, some of his paintings, and his thoughts on being a recognised artist.
