Description |
A carnival procession moves along Padiham Road, Burnley, on 16th June 1951, part of the town's Festival of Britain celebrations. The parade features cadets, members of the boys' and girls' brigades, boy scouts, weightlifters and gymnasts, a dancing troupe from the Polish Ex-Combatants Association, decorated vehicles, children in fancy dress and a Scottish military band. The local Hospital Management Committee and Textile Trades Federation are also represented. |
