Description

Local newsreel events feature the re-opening of the ladies swimming baths at Stockport on June 7th 1934. Includes shots of a synchronised swimming display. The Mayoress, Mrs Coupe, presents prizes to the winners of the various swimming races. Further items include scenes of Alderley Edge Carnival; Sir Alan Cobham's Air Pageant at Woodford Aerodrome on June 23rd 1934 and shots of a new swimming pool at New Brighton.
