Description |
Scenes from Preston's Safety Week, organised by the Accident Prevention Committee. Posters and bus adverts are seen on the streets of Preston and the Transport Minister visits the Lancashire Constabulary's skid pan at Hutton. In Avenham Park there is a march past and dancing display by local children, followed by demonstrations of different causes of road accidents including stepping off a moving bus and playing in the road. Speeches are made by the Mayor and the Minister and the film ends with the Royal Corps of Signals give a demonstration of their work, including the use of pigeons. |
