Description

Scenes from a Pole Bank Hall Garden Fete in 1951 and the opening of an extension, showing civic dignitaries making speeches to a seated audience of residents, staff and visitors, general views of the grounds and shots of a British Legion Band playing. Continues with children on funfair rides, dancers performing on an open-air stage and a choir singing. Second part of the reel features a Garden Fete in 1952, showing a British Legion Band arriving, close up shots of visitors and speeches/bouquet presentations. Ends with people enjoying refreshments, the gardens and shots of ducks on a pond.
