Description |
Scenes from a trip to the Isle of Man. We see the small plane taking off from an airfield and there are shots of moving scenery taken from the aeroplane window during the flight. The Dempseys stay at the Balqueen Hydro Hotel and take organised group daytrips around the island. They go rambling in the hills, on a boat trip to Chicken Rock Lighthouse, on a coach tour to Douglas, on a cycle ride to Rushen Abbey and a visit to Port Erin. There are scenes around the island including horse-drawn trams along the seafront, boats in the harbour, haymaking in the fields and The Witches Mill. We also see the group taking part in what appears to be a ballroom and country dance lesson. Mrs Dempsey is seeing taking photos of things that interest her, such as a seagull and a Manx cat. |
